Laura Barbee has been a piano and voice teacher for many years. Has her Bachelor's Degree and California Teaching Credentials in Music Education and is the Music Together Director in San Jose, Morgan Hill and Fresno. She loves making music with families in her Music Together Classes and teaching piano lessons.

I have been teaching Music Together for four years in Willow Glen and South San Jose. I am also teaching a general music program for Kindergarten, First and Second grades at the Village School in Campbell, and a general music program for Kindergarten through Third grade at the Indigo School Program in the Oak Grove School District.

I have received Level I Certification from the Orff Music program at Mills College. I play flute and recorder and xylophone, and I'm happily learning a little ukelele and drumming. Music is my passion, and I strive to pass that love on to as many children and their parents as possible.

Joan comes from a music-loving family that inspired her to start violin and piano lessons as a young child. Since then, she's sung and played in symphony orchestras, rock bands, jazz ensembles and even a greek fusion band! Joan's love for children led her to a college degree in elementary teaching, and she has taught Suzuki violin for 7 years.

Joan's inspiration to become a Music Together teacher came through her 1-year old son, Oliver, whose pure enjoyment of music is a delight to behold. She is thrilled to be spreading the joy of music to the families in her Music Together classes!
