Informal Instruction

Music Together® is a music and movement approach, developed from research at the Center for Music and Young Children in Princeton, NJ, based on the beliefs that all children are musical.

Music Together® is for Mixed Ages (birth to four).

Educators have long considered mixed-age grouping to be beneficial. Our activities focus on adult/child interaction, so children of different ages can enjoy classes together.
Children learn that music is a normal part of everyday life and is a source of enjoyment and happy times with their parents/caregivers.

Our approach is based on the beliefs that:

All children are musical.
Musical growth happens best in a playful, non-performance-oriented learning environment.
Participation and modeling of parents and caregivers, regardless of their own musical background, is inspirational for children to develop musically.
